Ephemeral Art at Growing Eden this Week

IMG_217422This week at Growing Eden, kids, moms, coordinators and volunteers created beautiful, ephemeral art using flower pedals, leaves, grass and branches we foraged for on site. Farmer's on 57th Market Garden also donated a bunch of farm fresh flowers for our art and for families to take home. As the summer is heating up, it was a nice break from the sun. We sat together in the shaded walkway, decorating the pathway for ourselves and passers by to enjoy. We also had a delicious lunch today of quinoa veggie stew and broiled peached with vanilla ice cream! One of our weekly attending families also made a delicious chocolate chip, zucchini bread which was devoured by everyone!Every week, we meet as a group to spend time in the garden, let the kids explore nature-based play and learning, to share a meal, and to come together as a community. Everyone is welcome! Please join us on Thursday from 11-2 at the South Vancouver Family Place. You can learn more here
