GROW YOUR OWN FOOD EDUCATION

Grow Your Own Food Registration

Howdy! Thanks for your interest in signing up for our "Grow Your Own Food" education sessions, a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about cultivating their own fresh, organic produce in a guided garden setting.

Our sessions are designed to empower you with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to transform your green spaces. You'll explore topics ranging from seed selection and soil preparation to pest management and sustainable gardening practices. The curriculum is meticulously crafted to provide a holistic understanding of the gardening process, equipping you with the confidence to sustainably grow your favourite fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Under the guidance of expert educator and grower Alyssa Dawn, each participant will learn from course handouts as well as hands-on learning in the soil of the GYOF garden plots.

Participants turn theory into practice either with your own 4x8’ garden plot, or in a communal bed with other participants. Cultivate, experiment, and witness the journey from seed to harvest. This course caters to all levels of gardening enthusiasts, ensuring that you can nurture your own thriving green haven.

As well as the full course, we offer single or multi-sessions - sign up for one or a few courses and join the learning! Single & multi-sessions do not include your own plot, but plots may be available for an additional $40 for the season.

Course Dates: Every other Tuesday. April 1 until Sept 2, 6:30 - 8:00 PM

Let’s grow together! 🌱
