General 1 — Farmers on 57th

Community Supported Agriculture is a subscription model in which customers enjoy weekly pickups of fresh produce throughout the growing season after paying for the crops before the season begins. A CSA share includes an assortment of vegetables picked up at the farm right after they are harvested. Pickups are Tuesdays from 3pm to 6pm, and run for 20 weeks from end of May through October.

We grow many heirloom and popular varieties of over 30 different vegetables. We grow using ecological practices, without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Everything is hand harvested with love! Also part of your CSA membership are opportunities to harvest fruits on the farm - like currants, crabapples and raspberries. We aim to be a community food hub and welcome our members to have a direct connection to the farm. We do not offer any drop-off locations for our CSA. If you can’t make a pickup, feel free to have a friend or family member pick up for you, or just let us know to pack up your box for a later pickup.

I appreciate locally grown produce and I want to support its growth in the city of Vancouver as a member of the Farmers on 57th Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) Harvest Share Program. I understand that Farmers on 57th staff and volunteers will do their best to provide the sustainably produced varieties they propose at the times they estimate. However, as a sharer in both the bounty and the risk, I understand that nature ultimately decides what I will receive and when I will receive it. I agree to pick up my share, or designate someone to pick up my share at the farm and it is my responsibility that my share is picked up sometime Tuesday 3pm-Wednesday noon. I will, or my designate will notify Farmers on 57th no later than Tuesday 8am if I or my designate will be unable to pick-up my share that week. If it is not picked up, I understand that it may be donated elsewhere Wednesday afternoon unless i've notified my farmer beforehand. I and those under my supervision, agree to enter the grounds of Farmers on 57th at our own risk and responsibility. I release Vancouver Coastal Health, George Pearson Centre, Farmers on 57th and their staff, volunteers or other visiting members, from any and all indemnity or claims of any nature.

Would you like to participate in our reusable produce bag option?

You provide 6 small to medium produce bags at the beginning of the season. We pack them with loose veggies (ie. baby salad greens, snap peas). To keep your bags in rotation, you bring back freshly washed bags each week. This reusable produce bag option is in addition to bringing your own larger sized grocery bags/ boxes or paniers each Tuesday to carry away your entire share, which all our members do. (We got your back if you forget from time to time).
